I can say with certainty that Mordecai probably thinks about CJ a lot, even though he doesn't say it. But what about Rigby, who said that memorable quote? Or Eileen, who made a good friend in CJ? Do Rigby and Eileen remember the friend they used to have? The friend they (and we) haven't seen for over a year?
I'll keep my fingers crossed until the final episode this season. I hope we see CJ one last time. . . .
